Today I have to put new Plantago lanceolata plants in the insectary for my rosy apple Dysaphis plantaginea aphids… it is easy, I have just to go in a garden near my university and then put the plants in the flowerpots. Actually even if it should be easy, it isn’t alyways easy… as you can see in the photo.
Don’t panic.. I have all the tools I need and I have just to dig a hole… but I have to by lucky.
So first try, first hole… but no Plantago!
Try again…
OK! I’m lucky!!! There are three medium-sized plants and for this week my aphids have their food, but it has been a freezing experience and this night we should have a blizzard in Modena… so that I fear that also in the next week I will have a freezing lunch time looking for plants.
